My eyes met his and it seems like the time stopped around us . My heart started pounding fiercely in my chest , small beads of sweat formed on my forehead . For a koment I forgot the surroundings and it was only just me and him and no other people and their voices .

I was brought back from my own thoughts when Rehan shouted,"Dad , See Mamma he is here." and tugged on my jeans to call me back from my thoughts .

I looked at him who was giggling and picked him up in my arms .

"Yes my baby." I gave small chuckle at his behaviour. Each he sees him he becomes a different person .

"Beta , come fast!!" Maa yelled from there and I looked at her direction only to find both them smiling . The sitting in front of her gave a little smile , a beautiful one though.

"Yess Mamma be fast." Rehan shouted and giggled making me smile again.

I descended down the stairs and Rehan started wiggling from my hold the moment I stepped on the last stair.

"Ohh ho Rehan why are you  so impatient?" I scolded and put him on his feet .

"Becauseee Dadd is Here !!!" He yelled and ran towards the man who now picked up Rehan and put him on his lap .

I mentally slapped my forehead at my son's behaviour. He is so talkative.

"Just like you" - my subconscious mocked.

I was about to go in the kitchen but stopped in my tracks when Maa said ,"Beta come here , I've already served him."

I nodded in response and moved towards her sitting beside her I looked at my son who was blabbering something in His ears.

I was looking at them totally focused on their each gesture when a hand came in front of my view making me snap back into the reality that I was continuously staring at both of them like a creep.

"What are you thinking beta?" Maa asked me and He also looked up to see me.

"Nothing Maa , I wasn't thinkinh anything." I replied .

"You want to say something Veer?" Maa asked Rajveer who nodded.

"Nothing just I wanted to say thank you for the car the other day." He replied a little to the point to the question being asked.

"No need to thank Beta." Maa said with a smile and he nodded.

Rehan was now completely silent looking at all of us with his doe eyes listening to our conversation with a great intrest. He is a good listener.

"I want to talk to you both." Maa broke the silence in the room again.

We both looked at her with a questioning gaze.

"Don't stare at me like that." She scolded.
I shook my head in disbelief making her give a sigh.

"The thing is I arranged a lunch date for you both." She stood up and said with a cheerful tone and Rehan clapped in appreciation like if he knew what she was saying.

A gasp left my mouth at her words.

"What Maa - Your what?" My mouth parted with surprise.
So this was the plan she was talking about the other night and told me to be patient and what not.

"Your Mother told you that, Veer?" She asked Rajveer this time who just gave a nod in response whole time looking at me .

"Okay good , Are you ready ?" She asked him again.

"Yes." He replied in a monotonous tone.

I shook my head at the way my Massi Maa baked the cakes in her head.

"Are you ready Adhvika?" She asked me this time.

"Maa , You are so shameless." I whined like a child.

"What is shameless in it?" She glared at me .

"Mamma , Don't make Dadi angry." Rehan adviced me. I looked at him and fake glared .
He made a zip action locking his mouth . My mouth parted in shock again to see his this action . I don't know who taught him to do this .

I noted to talk with him later but for now I have to talk with my drama queen Maa.

"But Maa what is this?" I asked again but she ignored me royally like she always does.

"No and nothing You are going means going. No more bakwas." She hand gestured to stop me from speaking further .

I accepted the defeat and surrendered in front of her .

"Now Veer , take her and I want a good decsion at the end of the day. REMEMBER IT!!" She said and Rajveer nodded while he stood up from the couch , Rehan still hanging to him lile a Koala.

"Maa-" I started but got interrupted when she glared at me .

I sighed briefly.

"Rehan beta , come to your Dadi." She picked Rehan in her arms and to my surprise he didn't say anything or cry about going with me and Rajveer.

"Take care Mamma Dad." He said and giggled.

I stroked his hair and pecked his cheeks and bid both of them Goodbye.

I took my purse with me and started moving towards the elevator door. I saw Rajveer nowhere maybe he already reached the ground floor.

I entered the elevator and pressed the ground floor button . My heart was pounding wildly with anxiety arising up my nerves as its just two of us today and Rehan isn't there to keep him busy with his bickering her always does whenever Rajveer arrives.

I am not sure what will I talk to him about .

Will this appropriate?
I am scared as hell from the thoughts and this is kind of burning my heart .

My palms are sweaty as well as my feet are burning in my shoes .

I feel like dizzy and a little strange. How will I tackle my fears this time .

I am so vulnerable at this point and I don't know myself . All my life is a hell so how come this time it will be a good choice . What if this decision gets a little more complicated and I end up in a cage again . What if something happen to my Rehan .

My brain is all clogged with what ifs . But one corner of my heart denies my all worries . The Rathore ladies seemed so calm and quite good and most importantly Dadi is so cool . I love her the most .

I know God is there to help me in every situation , I know I can do everything in my will like I did years ago .

I started chanting all the positive words and lines inorder to balance my feelings .

I heard the ding of the elevator door which opens to the out porch of the building but I couldn't move a inch I try to move but all the efforts go into vain .

My vision is turned all blurry and black and all I can see is BLOOD .
There is blood splattered everywhere , on my hands , on my feet and my whole body trembling at this ugly sight .

My breathing turned heavy and slow . It feels like someone is choking my throat and cutting my supply of oxygen.

Suddenly , A hand came on my back pulling me from my arm and some large figure hugged me but I wasn't able to figure out the person . I can only hear the heartbeats of the person and feel the light strokes on my hair.

I wrapped my arms around the torso of the person .

All I hear now is the familiar and manly  voice chanting words for me.

"Breathe , Adhvi ."
"Calm down , its nothing my Buttery."
"Breathe with me , take long breaths."
