"SORRY na , Maa." I replied just after seeing Massi's face turned into a scowl now .

"Kya sorry ? Hai?" She asked her hands now on her hips .

"M-." I tried reasoning her out but she cut my sentence off .

"Don't you know that you have to tell me when you are late . Here I am worrying about you and Rehan." She said in a go and gave a sigh after completing the sentence.

"But Maa you know-" I was cut off in between again. "Don't you try to give me an excuse." She glared at me .

"But I am not giving an excuse." I whined like a child and stomping my feet I jumped on the nearby couch .

"Maaamaaa!!!!!." Suddenly Rehan came running and making grabby hands .

"What-." I looked at Massi's face which was now turned into a shocking expression and her lips parted in surprise her eyes bulging out .

"Yes Maa , I was trying to tell you this from the moment you started shouting at me and cutting my sentences in between ." I fake glared at her .

"Sorry beta I wasn't knowing." She apologized and sat beside me and Picked up Rehan in her lap .

"Call me Dadi , Rehan." She cooed and strokes his hair.

"Daaddd." He spoke and clapped in appreciation.

I chuckled at his behaviour that how he continuosly spoke dad from the moment he opened his mouth but at the same moment the memories threatened to make their way again in my brain .

I shooo off unnecessary thoughts those were coming in my mind .

I won't overthink about anything .
I will never blame God for what has happened to me .
I believe in the God's plan and will  be under his grace always and forever.

I started thinking postive but came back from my own world when someone shook my arm lightly .

I focused on Rehan who was giggling as he was irritating his Dadi by Saying Dad instead of Dadi.

"Call me Dadi beta not Dad." She cooed again but who can make Rehan pay attention.

"Dadddd!!" He said and made a cute pout on his face .

"No beta its D-A-D-I." She now said a little sternly but he didn't listen and again spoke Dad .

I burst out laughing at their behaviour.

"I am not talking to you Rehan , You are so bad." She spoke and fake glared at me and I stopped laughing and gave her a big grin .

She placed Rehan back on the couch making him Sad as it can be seen from his wobbling lips that he was on the verge of crying.

But I know those are the crocodile's tears .

"Dadiiiiii!! nooo." He yelled on the top of his lungs .

She came back and picked him up cooing him .

"My bacha." She said and stroked his hair .

"Let's have dinner , then we will talk okay?" She said and I agreed to her .

We all walked towards the dinning table and I placed all the dishes on the table as Rehan was with Maa .

After everything was arranged , I settled on my chair beside Rehan .

"I got to know that you fainted today , Tomorrow you are going with me for check-up." Maa said .

"But that was nothing to worry , Maa." I replied .

"That was about your health and I am not taking any risk regarding it , That's final." She glared at me.

"Okay." I agreed quietly as there was no point arguing with her because she is so manipulative she would find many ways to manipulate  me into her plans .

"Jaya called me to inform this all , thank god they were there to help you ."

I hummed in response and from inside my heart fluttered at his side . I felt blood rushing towards my cheeks instantly at his thought.

"Why did your face become so red ? Do you got fever beta ?" She asked with concern filled in her voice .

I looked towards Rehan who was now totally engrossed in iur conversation and a small pout sitting on his face .

"N-no no , Maa I am totally fine." I stuttered .

"Are you sure?" She asked again .

"Nothing Maa , let's eat otherwise food will turn cold." I said hastily  and we all dug into our food .

After I did my dinner , I picked Rehan and went towards his room as Massi was busy doing the dishes in the kitchen . She never let me wash the dishes .

I made Rehan sleep in his bed and went downstairs to look for Massi .

She wasn't there in the kitchen so I went to her room which was across the living room .

As I entered the room , a soft melody was playing as Massi was sitting on her bed while her eyes closed .

I knocked the door and entered her room .

"Are you sure that you are ok?" She asked as she opened her eyes to look at me .

"Yes Maa I am sure." I assured her and sat beside her .

"I want to talk to you ." She said .

"About what?"

"About your marriage." As this sentence left her mouth it was like a lightning on my heart . Like a different kind of thunder arising in my brain and a cloudy dust making my senses all blurry .

"Bu-t W-hy-?" I managed to speak .

"Beta see I just can't see you all alone fighting with your monsters every day and I've seen it in your eyes the pain you are holding , You are the strong person and I know you can handle it very well but still you need a person beside you who will listen to you and your heart , with whom you can share eveything your happiness and sadness." She kept her hands on mine and a different kind of emotion was reflecting in her eyes .

My vision instantly became blurry but I blinked my tears away.

"But Maa , Do you think there is   someone who will keep me , a single mother whose child is already three and a  woman who isn't capable of anything with a broken heart?"

"Yes there is , I know he will give you anythinh you want , anything you desire and will worship every word that left your mouth ." She said in an assurance tone.

"But I don't want to , I am happy alone." I fought back.

"No you are not happy you just show yourself that you are happy but your this heart isn't really happy ." She pointed her finger on my heart and completed her sentence.

She is entirely right I am never happy I just console myself that I am happy .

"But I still don't want to."

"Do you want to know the person?" She asked.

I stood up from her bed and said only a two letter word , "No" and walked out of her room my vision already full of these bloody tears who betray me in every situation.
