"This is done perfectly ! Yeah!" I squealed in happiness like a little girl after the cake was baked so fine.

Rehan's birthday makes me sad but on the other hand it proves that I am the strong one and Rehan makes me strong.

"You see if Rehan woke up or not." Massi maa said while washing the utensils and I nodded in response.

"Be safe okay." She said with concern filled in her eyes.

"Yes Maa.," As I said I slipped out of kitchen and directly went to my room.
Rita Di went back to her home , she lives with us in this penthouse on the ground floor so that she can be on time.

I entered my room and saw Rehan was already awake and was playing with his toy car.

After seeing me he smiled at me and as a response I picked him up. He was a silent child since birth , never gave me any worries about him and he is like an alarm clock always on time sometimes I think how can he know that he have to do this work .

He can't speak but he has beautiful cursive handwriting but he is too picky about his clothes .

I picked him up and settled him on the stool in walk in closet where the bathroom was also attached to it.

I made him wear his comfortable clothes and set his hair giving them a clean finish then rubbed the baby lotion on his chubby cheeks as he was curiously looking at himself on the mirror .

I made him ready for our trip to orphanage where we both enjoy ourselves. He likes to play with the children there and they like him too .

It has been 3 years since we go to that orphanage every sunday with gifts or some necessities for the children there . Sometimes I feel their pain of losing your parents in such an early age .

Shrugging off the emotional thoughts and cleaning the lone tear that escaped my eyes I looked at Rehan who was truly staring at his reflection.

He is soo self obsessed kid !

I picked him up from the stool and settled him on his feet while holding his little hand in mine .

"Let's go baby Rey." I chirped as extreme happiness dripped from my voice .
He smiled and we walked out of the door , moving downstairs when we both met massi Maa .

"Woah , my baby Rehan is looking soo handsome . Nazar na lag jaye kahin (evil eyes may stay away from you)." She said and picked him up in her arms while he was smiling and buried his head in the crook of her neck.

"Rehan baby is shy ?" I said while giggling at his behaviour and he looked up , his cheeks flushed a shade of pink and a cute pout rested on his face.

"You two be safe okay , Ghar jaldi ana (come home on time )." Massi maa said while settling rehan down and we both nodded like the obedient kids .

We both waved her a bye . I made Rehan sit on the passenger seat of my car and buckled his seatbelt then mine too .

"Be a good boy okay?" I said while I turned on the ignition of the car and drove off towards orphanage.

After we reached the orphanage which was located somewhat away from the city's hustle and bustle , I parked the my car in the lot , this orphanage is funded by the Rathore enterprises . They have made all the necessities available for the children and for the visitors too .

No one is allowed to enter before registering your name and phone number for the safety purposes. This was the best thing they have done for the children.

I picked up Rehan from his seat whose eyes were bright with the excitement and the entered the orphanage.

I went to the front desk while Rehan was still in my arms .

"Hello Ma'am, Nice to you see you again." Jiya said with her extremely large smile and her doe eyes big and cute as well .

"Hy Jiyu, how are you?" I greeted her back with the same energy while on the other hand Rehan made grabby hands to be picked by her . He is well familiar to her only .

Jiya picked him up and stroked his hair . "I am good di." She said as I signed and wrote my contact number on the register.

"Happy birthday Rehan." She wished Rehan and he cupped her cheeks making her giggle at him .

"Come now bacha (baby) , lets meet your friends." I said to him and set him free on the ground as he know the way towards the children room.

I gave the baked cake to Jiya so that she could distribute it to the children afterwards . I made my way towards the children room where many children below the age of 10 were there .

I entered the large room , which is a play room where a black board is hung on one side and is painted with colours , poems painted on the walls and various brain sharpening games.

I saw Rehan playing with children , seeing me they all ran towards me and I gave them hugs and kisses in return .

"Hello Didi." One little girl , Vaani said while helding her hand out to be shaken . I shook her hand and embraced her in motherly hug.

"Hello beautiful." I said in her ear to which she giggled and kissed my cheek lightly .

"How are you Didi?" She asked.

"I am good , what about you ?" I asked.

"Me too good." She replied .

Other children also gathered around us and I sat with them on the floor telling them stories . Rehan never sits with me whenever we came here , he always go to different rooms or in the garden with his friends or older children .

Everyone here is down to earth , these pure and innocent children are my way to happiness . If happiness can be found then for me its here in the orphanage with these beautiful angels playing , dancing ,acting and their laughs are the best music to calm the heart .

After I saw the time was almost 5 in the evening , I started finding Rehan in the room .
He wasn't here in the room so I decided to check the other places . I was going towards the garden area when I bumped into someone and stumbled on my feet and we both held each other to keep our balance .

I looked up clearing my vision and saw Jaya aunty and behind her Veena dadi was coming .

I gave Jaya aunty an apologetic smile and said ,"I am sorry Aunty."

She smiled at me and cupped my face in her hands kissing my forehead .

"Koi baat ni Beta (no problem beta). How are you and where is Rehan?" She asked me .

"I am good aunty , aap btao (you tell)." I answered to her first question and then started looking behind her when Veena Dadi stood there .

"Namaste Dadi." I greeted her joining my hands and she embraced me in a hug . These Rathore ladies are the best , they treat me like their daughter . We often meet on Sunday's as they always come to meet the children and also check the work going here .

"Where is Rehan ?" Jaya aunty asked again looking at me with pinched eyebrows.

"Aunty , he was playing with his friends, I am not able to find him." I replied as I was still looking here and there . I wasn't in fear of him getting lost here because cameras are set up but still we have to reach home in time otherwise Massi Maa will give us her most dreadful look .

"No problem beta , we can help you find him ." Veena Dadi said assuring me . When we first met I called her aunty and then after regular meetings she asked me to call her Dadi instead of aunty . She likes my work and once visited my home . She says I am her most favourite beti .

"Yes Dadi." I said while nodding slowly.

"Let's sit here on the bench and talk , I'll ask Jiya to find him out ." Veena Dadi said and we all sat on the nearby bench talking some random things about our household .

They are now the most like my family , they care for me and love me in every situation. They know about what happened to Ansh and weren't able to stop concerning about Rehan and me.

I met them at Ansh's funeral when they came to me and consoled me . I love them as much as they love me .

I looked at my wrist watch the time saying 5:30 p.m. After looking at my nervous face Jaya aunty got up from the bench saying, "Beta , you should go home ."

"Yes aunty." I said .

"Didi. , Rehan is in the garden." Jiya came from the garden area informing me about him .

I nodded at her and she walked towards the front desk in the lobby .

Veena Dadi also stood up and blessed me by keeping her hand on my head .

"Always be happy beta , will meet you soon." She said.

"Yes Dadi." I said with a smile and love blooming from my heart at her loving behaviour.

"Jaya , we should also leave soon." Dadi said toh Jaya aunty to which she nodded at what Dadi said.

I hugged both of them saying good bye and started looking for Rehan in the garden .

I was looking for him when I saw him on the swing and suddenly the scene made my heart sink .
My body tensed and froze at its place , my phone slipped from my hand .

No voice could be heard as I was totally focused on the sight in front of me .

Tears formed in my eyes and started rolling down my cheeks .
My full body shivering, my knees weakening.

My mind wondered to only one thought 'How ? Just How could this happen?'......
